The Buffalo DP hood is a detachable hood that has is compatible with all Buffalo DP shirts and jackets, such as the Belay jacket, Special 6 shirt, Windshirt and Mountain shirt.
Featuring the same AquaTherm pile lining and Pertex shell as the jackets it will help you cope with cold temperatures and offers the same windproof protection, up to 50mph.
The AquaTherm pile lining is soft to touch on your face and the Classic Pertex shell affords the exact same warmth and comfort as the jacket.
The hood includes a detachable facepiece to cover the mouth and nose which can be sewn into position if required also a two-position adjuster allows the hood to be an even closer fit in more extreme conditions.
With an easy to use Velcro fastening, you will be able to easily secure the hood with cold hands.
A touch and close fastening enable it to be connected to compatible Pertex and Pile jackets and shirts and on some jackets could be used as an additional hood depending on the original hood size and specification.
Extremely lightweight the Buffalo DP Hood will condense down to fit in a jacket pocket when not required.
Buffalo Systems shirts, trousers and jackets require intentional care. It is important to follow the washing instructions on your garment. Do NOT tumble dry, dry clean, use fabric softener or use a wash-in waterproofing agent.
Ideally, wash in Nikwax Tech Wash (max washing temperature 30°c). This is recommended to maintain the high-performance level of your garment. Nikwax TX Direct SPRAY ON can be applied only after washing.
